When our little boy was three...

When our little boy was three years of age, he fell ill with a form of infantile paralysis. He was no longer able to stand on his feet. We consulted various physicians as to their opinion about the case, but none knew or could determine exactly what it was. My husband sent me to St. Gallen, where my parents live, a distance of seven hours by train. I had to carry the boy all the way, since he was not able to stand.

A friend of the family who was a Christian Science practitioner was a frequent visitor at my parents' home, and it was to him that I turned. He began treatment for the child at once, and almost immediately my parents noticed improvement. I was combining this trip to my parents with other business and was absent from their home for three days. When I returned I could not believe my eyes, for the child was walking again and came to meet me. You can imagine my joy!

We are deeply grateful to the practitioner and to the noble Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy. The child is now eight years of age, and there has been no relapse.
