"LOVE FULFILS THE LAW"

"Love fulfils the law of Christian Science, and nothing short of this divine Principle, understood and demonstrated, can ever furnish the vision of the Apocalypse, open the seven seals of error with Truth, or uncover the myriad illusions of sin, sickness, and death." So writes our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p.572). Law is a rule of action established by authority. Divine Love fulfills— carries into effect—the rules of action established by God, to whom alone belongs all authority, or the power to act.

There is in reality but one universe, the spiritually mental universe of God's creating, and in the eternal now of this harmonious kingdom His laws are already fulfilled. As this fulfillment appears progressively to human consciousness through the purposeful, Love-inspired replacing of material concepts with the divine, evidence of it is seen in our daily lives.

Christian Science, which is based on the teachings of Christ Jesus, and which is an exact knowledge of God and His creation, teaches us how to replace the false concept of man as a variable mortal, subject to sin, sickness, and death, with the truth about man as the child of God. Man is spiritual, made in God's image, perfect as He is perfect, reflecting the loveliness, grace, purity, and immortality of his Father-Mother God. Thus man is constantly showing forth the goodness of Life, Truth, and Love in perfect health, wisdom, joy, and serenity.
