"I AM GOD'S PERFECT CHILD"

Peter is a very little boy, but not too little to know God. His mother and father take him every Sunday to a Christian Science Sunday School. Here Peter has learned that there is only one God, and that "God is love." This truth is in the Bible.

John, the beloved disciple of Jesus, wrote (I John 4:7, 8): "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love." Peter loves Sunday School, his teacher, and the children in his class, and they all love Peter.

Peter learns many truths about God and man in Sunday School. His teacher explains that since God is Love, all His children reflect Love. And his mother has also taught him a little prayer. It is called "Mother's New Year Gift to the Little Children" and was written by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science (Poems, p. 69):
