Christian Science saved my life...

Christian Science saved my life many years ago and proved the truth of the statement that "man's extremity is God's opportunity." I had had some nervous breakdowns. The advice of a psychiatrist was faithfully followed in the endeavor to maintain mental and physical health; but the verdict was that every few years I would have a mental breakdown. I was afraid of everything and to do anything, and my only desire was to die.

My first healing in Christian Science came simply through reading our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. The desire to die left me, and once more I had hope that I could live and work and be happy and useful. Then I started to attend services faithfully and was further uplifted. After being interested in Christian Science for about a month, I visited a practitioner, and after talking with her I knew that in this Science I had found the answer to all my problems.

Through my study of the following passage from Science and Health (p. 454), "It need not be added that the use of tobacco or intoxicating drinks is not in harmony with Christian Science," the bondage of the smoking habit was broken about one month after I had come into this wonderful truth.
