"Look away from the body into Truth and Love, the Principle of all happiness, harmony, and immortality" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 261). This statement and many others in our Leader's writings have been of much help to me.

One day, having inadvertently stepped on a rusty nail that went so far through the sole of my shoe and into my foot that it took considerable effort to remove it, I literally obeyed the above quotation. I continued the work that I was doing and completely forgot the incident until several weeks later. There were no ill effects.

The reading and study of Science and Health have healed and helped me in many ways, physically, mentally, and financially. One of the healings was of a stomach disorder, after three physicians had told me they knew of no permanent cure for that trouble. Another was the healing of the results of the sting of a yellow jacket. I started reading Science and Health and soon felt a movement in my arm and realized that all the swelling was gone. Through the help of a Christian Science practitioner I experienced what the physician, who was in our house in attendance, called a quick and practically painless childbirth. Everything was harmonious, and I was up attending to necessary things the next morning.
