LOOK UP!
How gloriously the thought which turns to God
Is lifted up!
What views are opened in the realm of Mind,
What summits gained, what healing for mankind!
How can we linger in the valley when
Thought rises free?
Soon eager footsteps follow in the wake
of angel voices; darkening shadows break.
I will lift mine eyes, the faithful Psalmist sang,
Unto the hills!
These mighty symbols of uplifted thought
Bespeak the peace, the refuge, we have sought.
Look up, dear child, behold the love of God
Waiting to bless.
No depth can separate you from His care,
No darkness can withstand the power of prayer.
