My brother and I had been told...
My brother and I had been told we must move. I realized that since man is one with his Father-Mother God, who is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, he cannot possibly be separated from Him. My brother told a friend of ours, who is in the real estate business, that we needed a home. We had not advertised for a place and had gone to see but one, which we found the tenants had decided to keep. We really tried to leave the solution of our problem to God. In a very short while I received a call from this real estate man asking that I go to see a certain apartment which we might have before long. A few days later he called me again, saying that there was another apartment that he thought would be more satisfactory to us, and that we might have that one at once.
All those who have been seeking a place to live can appreciate how grateful I am for this demonstration. It does not bless just us, but the family that lives in my former apartment and those with whom they were staying, who had been overcrowded. In Exodus 23: 20 we read, "Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared." This Bible passage helped me so much in this experience.
I wish to express gratitude for a proof of the permanency of a former demonstration. Recently I was invited to drive to Colorado with some friends. Many years ago doctors kept me from visiting the mountains because they told me I could not stand the altitude. While I had been healed through Christian Science of the ailment that caused this verdict, I had not had the opportunity or the desire to go to the mountains. The first evening we arrived in Colorado, we stayed at a place that was over seven thousand feet above sea level, and many times during the two weeks of our visit we drove up mountains nearly twelve thousand feet high. I felt fine and, in fact, I enjoyed the altitude very much. I thanked God daily that I was able to prove the permanency of Christian Science healing. How grateful we should be that God is ever present and that we are at one with Him.
