MAN'S COMPLETENESS

The beloved disciple John must have understood in some measure the infinite possibilities and spiritual self-completeness of man in God's likeness when he wrote (I John 3:2), "Beloved, now are we the sons of God." Now—in the present moment—we are the perfect and happy children of God! What a blessed assurance is this! Now—today—we possess abundant good; for, by reflection, spiritual man possesses all the qualities which belong to God.

Eternal Mind, Spirit, God, created man, His beloved son, for the sole purpose of making manifest His power, perfection, glory, harmony, and infinite love. God, illimitable Love, must be expressed, and man is Love's expression, or reflection. Thus we see that the eternal perfection and invariable wholeness of man are as indispensable to God as Mind's omnipotence and incontrovertible allness are to man. And Christian Science makes clear that God maintains man in his original perfection. An all-wise, all-loving Father could do no less.

Not physically, but spiritually, we understand man as he truly is— without any materially-conceived impedimenta. Through the consecrated study of divine Science, we come to know man as the perfect and complete reflection, or image, of Love, Soul, and thus it becomes clear that whatever is not true of God, man's original, is not true of man, His image.
