LOVE

Love springs spontaneous
From the chastened heart;
Its law is power,
Its light forever glows.
Love knows no fear or doubt,
No troubled thought,
But patience and repose.

Love reigns exultant;
Its fire forever burns,
Consuming all the dross
Of mortal consciousness.
Its brilliant light
Dispels the night
And brings sure recompense.
