Gratitude for the healing efficacy...
Gratitude for the healing efficacy of Christian Science impels me to let others know how much its teachings have meant to me.
My first healing was of the fear of death, from my having been brought up in a church which taught that everlasting punishment would come to those who die in sin. What a glorious relief was the revelation that "it is a sense of sin, and not a sinful soul, which is lost" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 311). It was like having one's hands and feet untied and being set free.
Main years ago, while running after a baseball, I tripped over a chain and was thrown forcibly upon my face onto the gravel. The truth was instantly declared, and I was freed from any of the usual lacerations or other ill effects.
