My sincere appreciation of Christian Science...

My sincere appreciation of Christian Science and my gratitude to Mary Baker Eddy, as its Discoverer and Founder, prompt me to give this written expression of love.

While we were living in Washington, District of Columbia, in 1906, my mother, who was seeking a more satisfying religion, was given a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. It was indeed an answer to prayer, and she immediately became a student of Christian Science. She then brought it to the attention of her three children, entering the youngest in the Christian Science Sunday School. I have seen the healing efficacy of this Science demonstrated in my family circle many times.

I have been helped in Christian Science whenever I have lovingly and obediently turned to it and followed its rules and teaching. My first healing was that of chronic appendicitis, alter many painful attacks. This healing was accomplished in one treatment. Later, a severe form of blood poisoning, extending from instep to knee, was overcome in one present treatment.
