Because I have received so much benefit from the teaching of Christian Science I feel that I must write my testimony.

I first heard of this Science through an instantaneous healing my mother received of neurasthenia and internal trouble when doctors and specialist could do no more. I myself have had many healings, including those of sick headaches, influenza, burns, poisoning, dyspepsia, and constipation from which I had suffered since childhood.

Many years ago I experienced a fractured foot as a result of an accident and was told that I would have to wear a surgical boot. Through the study of Christian Science and the loving help of a practitioner, this was proved unnecessary. At the infirmary where I had the bones set, the specialist considered it a most unusual case and a remarkable setting. The following statement from page 423 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, given to me by the practitioner, proved a great help: "Bones have only the substance of thought which forms them." I realized the importance of my thoughts and also saw that God was the only support I needed. This realization enabled me to walk without crutches or stick at the end of a month.
