I give thanks to God. Also I should like to give testimony regarding the healings I have had. Twenty-nine years ago I was in great distress physically and mentally and had been given up by the doctors. Through treatment from a Christian Science practitioner I was healed of pulmonary tuberculosis. One night I fell asleep deeply aware of the presence of divine Love, and the next morning I was completely healed.

Two years later I was healed of a fibroid tumor. The doctors wanted to operate, but I refused. I was healed through Christian Science and am very grateful to the practitioner who helped me.

About four years ago I suddenly became almost blind. I could scarcely see to get around my house. I took "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy and said, "I will not put this book down until I can see clearly." The suggestions came to me: "You are going to be blind. Remember that when you were five years old you were blind." As a child I had been blind until the age of five, and I saw that this old belief had not been completely destroyed. I promptly affirmed the truth. I said: "No, I have never been blind, either when I was five or now. I see in divine Mind. Man is the spiritual idea of God, inseparable from Principle, Love. Sight is spiritual discernment, the perfect understanding of the unity of man with God." I reversed error with the understanding of Truth, Life, and Love, and I felt the presence of God's love. All of a sudden I could see a little better; then I saw some very small letters on the page, and after that I could read normally. The demonstration was made. I now read and sew without glasses.
