I began the study of Christian Science, not because I had need of healing, but because I was persuaded it was the truth, for I had seen my mother and my sister become sincere students of this religion. I have been healed of a very inharmonious condition of my throat which was not diagnosed. Twice I have had fractured hones healed in Christian Science.

At one time a malignant type of skin disease attacked my two daughters and me. One daughter could scarcely stand because of the large blisters on the soles of her feet. Blood poisoning developed in one of my fingers. Up to this time I had never experienced anything that I felt might prove fatal; and I had asked myself many times if I would take an absolute stand for Truth at such a time. I am most happy to say that I had no desire for any other help than Christian Science. When the condition of poisoning was overcome, the healing for all of us began and went on steadily until we were completely healed without a scar. Several times in the night, when sleep seemed impossible, we would get up and play and sing hymns from the Christian Science Hymnal.

I am grateful for an experience of protection in an automobile accident. It proved to me that daily mental work is important.
