I wish to express my gratitude for the realization of God's protection, love, guidance, and preservation of me and mine. All that I have is from the Lord, and God is the source and supply of good to us all.

When I was only a year old, my family and I were protected from a forest fire through my mother's knowing the ever-presence of God. When I was three years old, I was healed by Christian Science of what a well-known specialist diagnosed as black diphtheria. He had given me but three days to live. When nearly ten years old, I was accidentally shot in the foot, and was saved from blood poisoning through God's protection. At twelve, I witnessed a beautiful healing, and then it seemed to me that I was really being ushered into the understanding of Christian Science, so that when my parents passed on I could realize that God's loving arm upheld me and mine.

Although I knew God's divine, guiding presence was ever with me. I was not always conscious of His great care until I made my own first definite demonstration. Then I realized that He alone heals all our ills, and although men may fail us. God never does.
