Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

Plymouth, Devonshire, England (First Church).

The Christian Science church in Ford Park Road, Plymouth, which was built nine years ago, was dedicated on Sunday, June 27, 1948. Three services were held, in the morning, afternoon, and evening.

Building started in 1939, and the first service was held in the new church in June, 1940. In 1945 the members decided that they would express their gratitude for protection received during the war by dedicating their church, as early as possible. A great effort was made, and this together with a generous grant from the Trustees under the Will of Mary Baker Eddy has enabled the church to be dedicated.
