SINGLE-MINDED UNIVERSE

Benjamin Sturgis Pray

Observe some single-minded man
And watch his purposes conform
To God-sent, prayer-unfolded plan.
Which he pursues through calm or storm;
And watch how, undistraught by dream,
He holds one Principle supreme.

Then find such unity the same
Throughout creation, and, not blinded
By subdividing sense, proclaim
God's universe as single-Minded,
Where all parts move in one control,
Obedient alone to Soul.
