In 1945 the Trustees under the Will of Mary Baker Eddy arranged for the co-operative advertising of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mar Baker Eddy, and local Christian Science Reading Rooms in sixteen metropolitan cities, of which Detroit was one. Fifteen of our local churches, including Windsor, Ontario, participated in bearing the expense of this advertising of which the Trustees under the Will paid one half. Sales of the textbook in those areas were approximated twenty-one per cent higher than they would have been had they followed the trend of the sales of the textbook in the rest of the Field.

In 1946 fifteen churches in Detroit and vicinity again participated, and the program was enlarged to thirty metropolitan areas. The results were substantially better, being more than forty per cent higher than they might otherwise have been.
