I should like to tell of a healing...

I should like to tell of a healing that took place when I was twelve years old. I was riding my bicycle one Sunday afternoon when an accident occurred. A Model-T Ford coupé ran over me, a wheel passing over my head. By the time my family got to the scene of the accident, an ambulance and doctors had been called. The doctors took me to the hospital. I had a broken jaw, and my skull was fractured at the base. The doctor said, "Cases like this do not recover."

In the meantime my mother had called a Christian Science practitioner, who worked continuously, taking no other cases or calls for two days. At the end of that time the practitioner came to the hospital to see me. The metaphysical work was complete. After nine days the doctors decided to operate on my jaw in order to wire it together. But my family requested that new X rays be made, and these showed that the jaw was perfectly set and healed. The fractured skull was also healed. Ten days from the date of the accident I was playing football. Fourteen years later, when I entered the Army Air Force to train as a pilot, the detailed X rays which the Army took showed everything in perfect order.

I am deeply grateful for this healing and many other blessings. I am also humbly grateful for Mary Baker Eddy, for all her works, and for each and every member of the Christian Science movement.— Clifford L. Hagy, San Antonio, Texas.
