Words can never express my...
Words can never express my gratitude to Christian Science for all that it has done for me. I first heard of this Science when I was in a hospital recovering from a broken leg. A patient who seemed in great need asked me if I would telephone someone and ask for treatment for her. I did not know what it meant, but was very glad to be able to help. In about an hour her need was met, though I could not understand how. I was discharged from the hospital the next day.
Soon afterwards a friend to whom I related the incident said that the woman must have had Christian Science treatment. A day or two later she sent me a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, borrowed from a Christian Science Reading Room. I had had it for some time when I received a note from the librarian asking me to return it. I was unable to return it that day. When I went upstairs in the afternoon to rest, I could only go up very slowly, dragging myself up by the banister rail. Since I had not finished reading the book, I picked it up to finish it. Not long afterwards I found that I had no pain in my leg. I got up and found that I could do so quite easily. I ran down the stairs and out into the garden without my stick, though I had not been able to walk without it. I never used it again.
Since then I have had many healings: many instantaneous, some with the help of practitioners, and some through my own understanding. I have been healed of burns, scalds, influenza, food poisoning, tonsillitis, and constipation through relying entirely on Christian Science.
