Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada (First Church).

Dedication services of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Niagara Falls, were held on Sunday, June 16, 1946. The afternoon service was a repetition of the morning service. Excerpts from the historical sketch read by the First Reader follow, in part.

"The first seeds of Christian Science in this city developed as a result of healings during the years 1902 to 1912.

"Those in Niagara Falls, Canada, interested in Christian Science were always grateful for the privilege of attending the church services in Niagara Falls, New York, but ever looked forward to an organization in their own city. In February, 1927, regular church services began in Adoniram Hall on Second Avenue, and continued there until 1935. A Sunday School was also organized.

"In 1930 the group, now a society, completed purchase of the present church site. The cornerstone was laid on the morning of Tuesday, November 6, 1934. Four months after ground was broken the church was formally opened. The opening services were held on February 3.

"In 1945 the society became a church with the approval of The Christian Science Board of Directors in Boston."
