The lessons to be learned by the observation of the sayings and of the actions of our Lord are unending. ... In Matthew (4:23) we read: "And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people."

Here we observe that Christ [Jesus] engaged in three activities. He taught and he preached and he healed, and it is wonderful to think that a Christian—any Christian, of high or of low degree in the world's scale of living—may engage daily in any or in all of these activities.
