KINDNESS IS OF GOD
Before
I knew humility, I was kind,
Believing that this kindness came from me;
But now the understanding clear of Mind
Shows me what long ago I could not see.
I know humility—at one with Him—
And feel in hallowed thought its gentle rod;
Oh, may this lightened vision never dim—
That kindness ever comes alone from God.
