With a heart full of gratitude to our Father-Mother God for Christian Science, I give this testimony. It is written in the Bible (Ps. 106:1), "Give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good." I have demonstrated God's goodness and proved that the healing Christ is still with us.

Some years ago, while I was working in the garden, something flew up and struck my eye, causing great pain. I immediately asked for help from a practitioner, which was lovingly given. As I was in business, I had to see a doctor, who on seeing the condition sent me at once to the hospital. I was hospitalized for about three weeks, at the end of which time I was told the sight was destroyed and unless the eye was removed it would infect the other eye. I asked for time to think the matter over and to consult with the practitioner who was helping me. He referred me to Ecclesiastes 3:14: "I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it.

After reading this I told the doctor that I was keeping my eye, and asked for my discharge from the hospital. The doctor, who with all the hospital stall had been very kind to me, readily gave me this. When I arrived home I saw the practitioner again, and he told me that God is the only healer and I must put my whole trust in Him. After months of steady and loving work, with the help of the practitioner, the eye was completely and permanently healed. My other eye, also, has remained normal.
