"SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT"

A ten-year-old boy who was a Christian Scientist had occasion to apply the teachings of this Science to a discordant physical condition that was troubling him. Confidently and spontaneously he turned his thought from his material body to God, Mind, and with assurance affirmed most of the concluding sentence of the Lord's Prayer. Said he with meaningful deliberateness," Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory" (Matt. 6:13). His trust was absolute; his faith that God would answer was unwavering. Quickly his healing came; he was free.

A few days later the difficulty reappeared. Thoughtfully he reviewed all that had happened leading up to his healing. Then with a joyous sense of having found the answer to his question as to why the error reappeared, he said: "Oh, I see, I forgot something very important. I forgot 'for ever.'" He had used the concluding words of the Lord's Prayer, except the last words "for ever": "Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever." Realizing something of the spiritual fact that God's kingdom, and power, and glory are man's forever, he sensed in a measure God's eternal allness, which leaves no time for error to appear or reappear. With that the error was fully disposed of.

Christian Science leads thought away from that which is temporary to that which is forever; to God, the forever self-existent parent Mind; to man, the forever reflection of this Mind. Since God must forever be evidenced by man, man must always express God's foreverness.
