THE PREVENTIVE POWER OF CHRISTIAN SCIENCE

Mankind has always been searching for means to prevent undesirable experiences. To this end both theorizing and experimenting have been done, mainly along materialistic lines. But religious dogmas, philosophies, and isms based partly or wholly on matter are of no avail to protect the human family from such tragedies as the recent World War. World security is impossible when God is ignored and reliance is placed upon the so-called mortal or carnal mind, in which human will and mad ambition appear to be more conspicuous than the spirit of the Golden Rule, taught and lived by the humble Nazarene.

Christian Science, which is based upon Jesus' teachings, has come to guide mankind into health, harmony, and all good. It not only heals by wholly spiritual means, but also protects us from repeating past mistakes. Through Christlike thinking and living, all may be protected from suffering and hardships. Every day brings proofs that earnest study of this Science and consistent application of its teaching act, step by step, as a preventive of discord individually, nationally, and internationally.

In recent years Christian Science has been widely accepted as an available spiritual healing agency for the benefit of suffering humanity. Through its ministry countless thousands the world over have experienced and are experiencing liberation from sin, sickness, and other phases of evil. Some of these healings are told at the Wednesday testimony meetings held by all Christian Science churches, and others appear in the Christian Science periodicals, including The Herald of Christian Science published in seven languages and in Braille.
