While reading the Bible passage...

While reading the Bible passage from Psalms (107:1, 2), "O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy," I realized that I had been redeemed many times from the hand of the enemy, and had long delayed expressing my gratitude to God and to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.

When Christian Science was first presented to me I was in dire need of healing of physical ills, as well as of unhappiness and sin. As I glance backward I can see that Christian Science came to me in direct answer to my prayer, or right desire, although at that time I had very little understanding of what true prayer is. I shall ever be grateful to the loving individual who first presented Science to me, and to the many kind friends and practitioners who have helped me along the way, which has at times seemed dark. I thank God for the lessons learned during these experiences.

It would be difficult for me to enumerate the many blessings I have derived from the study and application of Science. Physical healings are innumerable. A tendency to frequent severe colds and attacks of pleurisy has been overcome. Broken ribs, a broken finger, and a badly sprained ankle were healed quickly without medical aid. Recently I experienced a beautiful healing of a cancerous growth on my hand. Through a similar experience with a loved one, false mental pictures had left an imprint on my consciousness which had not been erased. But when I became conscious of God as the only cause and effect, my latent fear was destroyed and the difficulty vanished.
