Because of the many blessings that have come to me through the study of Christian Science, I send this testimony. I am grateful for healing, for the privilege of being a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church, for the blessing of class instruction, and for the help and protection in everyday life which I enjoy through the study of this truth.

I was teaching in one of the states of the Middle West when I first began to read the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. It had been suggested to me that I ought to study Christian Science, and, inasmuch as I was away from all the members of my family, I thought it a good time to look into the subject. For a number of years I had been struggling to overcome a physical difficulty. I had from my doctor a prescription for the medicine I was taking, and I counted it as one of my most valuable possessions.

Soon after I went west, I asked the woman at whose home I was staying if she knew anything about Christian Science. She said that she had the textbook, that she could not understand it, but that she would be glad to let me have it. Instead of beginning at the first of the book, I began to read the chapter on Fruitage, and was intensely interested.
