Having benefited for many years from reading the testimonies of Christian Science healings, I wish to submit my own.

About twenty–five years ago I was living in Illinois, and had a ranch in Missouri that I wished to sell. I decided that it was best for me to go there and see what I could do about it. It was necessary for me to change trains in St. Louis, but a few hours before I arrived there I began to suffer from influenza, which made it difficult for me to breathe. I did my work in Christian Science as best I could, but grew worse.

On arriving at the station, I considered what I should do—go on or return home. I felt that I had to have help, so I decided to stay in St. Louis and call a practitioner. Just then, however, I heard distinctly the words, "Be game!" I looked around to see if anyone else had heard the voice. No one was paying any attention, so I decided it was God telling me to go on. I boarded the train and retired to my berth. The last I remembered we were still at the station. The next morning I awoke extremely happy. At first I could not understand why, for I had not wanted to take the journey. Then it dawned upon me that I had been healed of the influenza.
