Lines to Our Leader

NEIL MARTIN

Thy teaching bids me pay in praise
My debt of gratitude to thee
For bringing to Truth-seeking days
The knowing that has made me free—
Free not, perhaps, from earthly trial,
Nor yet from error's guileful course,
But free to know and prove the while
That God is not their lawful source.
