Thoughts for a Sunday School Teacher

Hold high the torch of Truth,
So that young eyes may see
How glowing and how bright the light
That shines eternally.

Speak understanding words,
So that young ears may hear
The wondrous message of God's love,
The promises so dear.

Reach out in holy love,
So that young hearts may feel
The tender presence of the Christ
That comes to bless and heal.

A faithful shepherd be
Of young and eager sheep.
Feed them with the living truth;
God's love their steps will keep.
