A Letter to Beverly

[Of Special Interest to Children]

When Beverly was entered in a Christian Science Sunday School, she found that her teacher explained the spiritual truths about God and man in a way that she could understand from the very beginning. She listened eagerly as the teacher showed the class how they could use these truths every day in their home, in their school, and in their play. Beverly loved these Sunday School lessons.

Often the teacher read to the children from two very interesting books. They were the King James Version of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Soon Beverly had these wonderful books of her own— pretty blue ones in a neat case.

The class was a very active one. The children seldom stayed away. But one morning Beverly was not there with the others. On returning home, the teacher found a message asking her to call Beverly. The little girl said she was ill with a fever, and confidently asked, "Will you pray for me?"
