In the Christian Science textbook,...
In the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, we read the following (p. 16): "Only as we rise above all material sensuousness and sin, can we reach the heaven-born aspiration and spiritual consciousness, which is indicated in the Lord's Prayer and which instantaneously heals the sick."
I should like to relate a healing which was experienced as a result of adhering to the truth in the above statement. We received word to go for our son, who was seriously ill and did not wish to be placed in a hospital. Another son engaged the services of an ambulance and left immediately. In a few hours they were home, and the son in need of help told me he did not want a doctor.
During the following days the symptoms became very alarming; unconsciousness and convulsions followed. This son had been healed before in Christian Science, and I held firmly to Truth, realizing that God's idea had never been touched by error.
