I am most grateful for Christian Science...
I am most grateful for Christian Science and for all it has done for me. It has healed me physically and mentally, and has protected me in business.
At one time I had occasion to apply the truth instantly. I was cleaning the windshield of my car and the front door was open. One of my hands rested on the hinge. A friend, who was talking to me, suddenly closed the door, catching my finger in the hinge.
Immediately I began to repeat "the scientific statement of being" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 468), and to know that since there could be no accident in divine Mind, no untoward incident could occur to mar the perfect functioning of God's law. My friend was greatly upset at what had occurred, and insisted that I have my finger treated. I assured him that it was quite all right, and continued my metaphysical work a bit longer. Then, feeling I had done all that I could, I left the matter with God and thought little more about it.
