I am grateful beyond measure...
I am grateful beyond measure for Christian Science, and I should like to add my testimony to the others in the periodicals. I first heard of Christian Science from a friend and began reading the textbook out of curiosity. As an immediate result, all desire to follow the example of some of my friends in smoking cigarettes left me. In reading the Christian Science textbook, I perceived the truth about God and man to the extent that I saw who I was as God's reflection, and that this social pretense was both false and unbecoming. Ever since that time I have called upon Christian Science when in need, and it has been my only help in healing sickness and in solving other difficulties. I was healed overnight of all the symptoms of grippe by holding my thought to the fact that I was God's image.
About two years ago I experienced a very harmonious childbirth, as the result of the faithful work of a practitioner. The months before and after the birth were particularly joyful ones. I am grateful for this experience, because through it I learned more about the relationship between joy and gratitude and about God's care.
We are grateful for the loving and faithful practitioners. Our little girl was healed of an injured spine, after a fall downstairs. A practitioner was called in the evening, and after one treatment the child awoke in the morning completely normal and well. When asked if she was all right, she answered, "Truth has healed me." This healing and many other proofs of God's care which we have had in our home have brought us much peace and joy. I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for revealing to us this healing religion by which we can order our daily lives. —(Mrs.) Marion Fairchild LeClair, Fredericksburg, Virginia.
