The Psalmist has written: "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth" (Ps. 121:1, 2).
It is for a high resolve that we lift our eyes unto the hills, in the midst of disturbing circumstances, when we feel that overpowering sense of need. Instead of dwelling down in the valley of gloom with our disappointments and discouragements, we should look up into the hills where strength and happiness are found.
