Not Missing
Dear
one, lose not your faith and joy,
For he is God's own child—that boy
Counted as missing.
Man is not missing from God's sight,
But guarded is by Love's all-might
With tender blessing.
Not one missing or lost can be
From Life and opportunity
Of going forward;
Today, as yesterday, there lies
Promise of good before men's eyes.
Dear one, look upward.
Then let your heart be still, and know
God's presence with His child does go.
Love heals your sadness.
Man never lacks Love's ceaseless care;
So let your lips and heart declare
Love's peace and gladness.
