For many years I have enjoyed some of the great blessings which Christian Science is bringing to humanity. When I first began to read the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, it answered my questions regarding life and gave me peace and satisfaction.

Just a short time after I began to read, I burned my hand severely, and by applying the truths contained in "the scientific statement of being" (Science and Health, p. 468), and refraining from looking at the material sense evidence, I experienced an instantaneous healing. I was then eager to make further application of what I had learned, and I became convinced that I had found, not another religion, but the absolute truth as taught and demonstrated by Christ Jesus.

I had been a medical nurse, and at the time that I began to study Christian Science I had an office for drugless healing. Although I at once wanted to get out of this business, the wise practitioner who was helping me told me that I must prove my way by demonstration. When I finally sold my business there came a severe testing time. Error argued that I had no means of livelihood outside of the material methods I had known; but I applied what I had learned of Christian Science in the best way I knew, and step by step my needs were supplied. At one time I was in need of what seemed to me a large sum of money to meet obligations. I turned resolutely to Mind as the only source of supply, and the need was beautifully met in a most unexpected way.
