Understanding

EMILY M. HENDERSON

Dear Father, give me here and now
An understanding heart,
That in this world of conflict I
May learn to do my part,

To know and love my brother man
And see assuredly
His spiritual likeness and
Relationship to Thee.

For "now are we the sons of God"—
I dare not then condemn,
Or fail in loving service to
The very least of them.
