I am happy to express thanks to God for the revelation of Truth that has freed me from the false laws of sin, sickness, and death.

For the healing of a recent illness, a complication of diseases which had carried me close to the valley of death, I am very grateful. Great fear was overcome as I clung closely to the Lord's Prayer with its spiritual interpretation, given on pages 16 and 17 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and a better understanding of God gained from the definitions found on pages 465 and 587 of the same book.

A strong human will, a tendency to dominate, and tension have had to be broken. With constant care and watchfulness mortal mind is giving place to spiritual understanding. A firm stand for God has had to be taken, and the First Commandment has meant more to me than ever before. The words (Science and Health, p. 9), "Dost thou love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind'?" came to my thought many times during this experience. The other commandments, too, have been studied, and a fuller understanding of them has been gained.
