About forty years ago I began reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. The more I read the more I wanted to read until I finally read every moment I could spare, for I had become convinced that it was the truth and something that I needed very much. Before I finished the book I was healed of a bowel trouble that had caused me much suffering for fifteen years. With this healing came such an uplifting of thought that I was much happier and more joyous than ever before.

With the help of a practitioner my husband was healed of pneumonia and at another time of summer influenza. All these years Christian Science has been a great help to me. It has taught me that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Ps. 46:1). At one time I was healed of heart trouble by studying a reference from Science and Health (p. 249) which was in the Lesson-Sermon for that week, "Let us feel the divine energy of Spirit, bringing us into newness of life and recognizing no mortal nor material power as able to destroy."

Christian Science has comforted me at the time of the passing on of loved ones and has healed me of grief. It has healed me of colds, acute bronchial trouble, neuralgia, and many other ills.
