I am very grateful to God for...
I am very grateful to God for what I know of Christian Science. It has been possible, through the knowledge of God and man's relationship to Him, to see that there is in reality only one universe, and so to be healed of the illusion that death could separate me from loved ones who have passed on. It would be impossible to tell how much that realization means to me.
I have had many physical healings and I have much cause for gratitude to Christian Science practitioners who have lovingly given their aid. A severe cough was healed in one treatment; yellow jaundice disappeared in just a few days; through the pertinent declaration of one whom I asked for help, ptomaine poisoning was healed. It seemed as if I should have to leave my work because of lack of strength, but the statement, "Truth is your only source of power," freed me instantly. A chronic irritation of one eyelid was healed in two treatments. I learned that not only must I see my brother man as perfect, but I must also see him as viewing me in the same light.
When I was in school it was proved conclusively to me that Mind is man's intelligence. As I put first things first, giving the usual amount of time to the study of the Bible and of Mary Baker Eddy's works, and reading the authorized Christian Science periodicals academic work literally became effortless.
