The press report from Ottawa in your recent issue included hostile views about Christian Science and Christian Scientists by two medical members of the Commons Social Security Committee.

What the Christian Science churches have submitted as an amendment to proposed legislation is simple, sane, fair, beneficial to all Canadians and detrimental to none. The wonder is that any legislator acting on behalf of the whole Canadian people should find himself expressing hostility to it. Surely by this time the merits of Christian Science as a Christian denomination and agency of Christian healing can be conceded by anyone, since sincere, generous, and noble members of the medical profession so regard it.
