For over twenty-four years I have been an earnest student of Christian Science. In the fall of 1919 I was healed of stomach trouble through this Science. I had taken material remedies for two years with no relief. In my extremity I was led to ask help of a friend, who told me that her only remedy for all ills was a religion which taught the allness of God. I gladly accepted the book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. While reading the chapter on Prayer I was instantaneously healed. This healing has been permanent. I was able at this time to discard the material remedies I had on hand and rely entirely on Christian Science. Many testing times have come, but when rightly applied Science has never failed to bless, sustain, and heal me.

Our young son's hand was caught in an electric wringer, and the small finger rendered useless. A practitioner was called immediately and help was lovingly given. That night on retiring I asked God for an assurance of His presence. I opened Science and Health to page 447 and read these lines: "The recuperative action of the system, when mentally sustained by Truth, goes on naturally." That was my answer, and I thanked God. The complete healing came about entirely through Christian Science.

We have had many physical healings in our home, among them those of colds, coughs, warts, headaches, influenza, backache, sprains, and bowel trouble. I have been given courage, strength, protection, and guidance in times of trial. In the Bible we read, "The Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear."
