Prayer for Servicemen

A Popular song, "Say a Prayer for the Boys Over There," owes its appeal to the timeliness of its theme. In millions of homes, by adherents of many creeds, prayers are being said for the safety of loved ones in the service, and for the triumph of that righteous cause which will further liberty and justice for mankind. Those who are instructed in Christian Science are learning to pray understandingly, and have had irrefutable proofs that "the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." They know that a realization of God's omnipresence and omnipotence is a shield from danger both for themselves and for those for whom they pray.

Beginners in the study of Christian Science, as well as advanced students, can apply its truth in their prayers with a marked degree of success. Some lines from one of our hymns which are particularly well adapted to bringing assurance to those concerned for the safety of servicemen read:
