"Be still, and know"

"Be still, and know that I am God."
When lights are dimmed
And blackness spills from night,
Be still and know
That soon behind that mountain
Towering high
Will dart a gleam of light.
Along the ridges will the glory
Spread and wing,
Until the dawn awakens,
The thrushes sing.
For God is All. And error
Melts away
As mists of darkness fade
Before the day.
And fear and gloom will cease
That filled our heavy
Night with tears and woe;
"Be still," He said. "Be still, and know
That I am God."
