Keep Singing!
[Of Special Interest to Young Children]
Sometimes people think it isn't honest to say everything is all right when everything looks all wrong. They think you are only trying to fool yourself into believing it, just to keep the trouble from hurting too much, or to keep somebody else from finding out how bad things really are. But if God made all creation, as the Bible plainly says, it is honest to say that everything He made is good, and to believe it, too. God doesn't send evil to His children to cause them suffering. Where would He get evil in a good creation?
It is only error, or wrong thinking, which makes us believe that real things are bad or bad things are real. Very often, error seems to spread itself all around everywhere and then scream: "Look at me! Doesn't it frighten you to see the way I act?" Then if you say, Yes, error often begins to look still worse and to frighten you even more.
Christian Science teaches us how to see right through those lies of evil by trusting God so fully that we cannot be made to believe anything ugly about Him or His children. Christian Science teaches us how to keep on singing and thanking God, and really mean it. Being happy and thankful brings many blessings. Here is a story of how happy singing once blessed a certain little bird.
