The meeting was opened with the singing of Hymn No. 345, "Thou living light of pentecostal glory," after which the following passages from the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy were read by the chairman:

55:15-29

The congregation then united in silent prayer, which was followed by the audible repetition of the Lord's Prayer."
