The Day's Work
In
readiness to serve, no more we ask
Than fitness for our task;
The earnest of the Spirit guides the will,
Love's purpose to fulfill.
And thus we work God's work from day to day,
Nor cease to love and pray,
Sustained and strengthened in each passing hour
By fullness of His power.
