In Malachi we read, "Prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."

Since learning of Christian Science I have indeed proved the truth of the foregoing quotation. Several years ago I was suffering from a severe nervous breakdown. Medical aid was of no avail and the outlook was very dark indeed. I was in despair and had little hope of recovery.

At this time a friend took me to a Christian Science Reading Room, and on entering it a feeling of the presence of love came over me. I was shown the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, which I borrowed, and that night I read for hours. After this I was able to eat normally without any ill effects, also to sleep naturally, neither of which I had been able to do for a long time. For months I did little else but read and study the textbook. I attended church services and studied the weekly Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly. From the day I borrowed the textbook I never used drugs again. Christian Science has since been my only medicine. The healing was slow, but as my understanding increased I gradually improved in health, and eventually I was healed.
